2020 MASNA Aquarist of the Year and MASNA Award Recipients Announced
MASNA is proud to announce Alf Jacob Nilsen as the 2020 MASNA Award recipient for his foundational role in developing, documenting, and communicating processes and advancements in the marine aquarium industry, and Tal Sweet as the 2020 MASNA Aquarist of the Year for his years promoting marine ornamental aquaculture and fostering diversity and inclusion within the aquarium community.

MACNA 2020 Cancelled, Looking Ahead to MACNA 2021
After feedback from many of our exhibitors and attendees, and meeting with both venues, we have decided that MACNA 2020 will be canceled and all MACNA 2020 booths and tickets will have their credit transferred to MACNA 2021, will be publicly announced on June 1, 2020.
Nominations Open for 2020 MASNA Award and Aquarist of the Year
A call for nominations! Is there a marine aquarist deserving of recognition for a recent accomplishment or a lifetime of contributions to the art and science of reef keeping and saltwater aquariums? MASNA members embark on the annual quest to recognize two aquarists in 2020.

Some addtional updates: Bocas Mariculture reports the successful cultivation of Serranus flaviventris, which didn't make it onto the list, and two accomplishments initially attributed to Bocas were in fact reported by Till Deuss from earlier when he was working with Biota Palau, so these have been attributed to the Biota Group with date information.Matt Pedersen says:
