“FOTAS is coming up quick. It will be held in Houston October 25th-27th….I can tell you that registration for this event is FREE!!!! That has never been done since I’ve been attending these conventions (This will be my 11th).
There will be speakers all day Saturday and an Aquatic Photo show. All vendors interested in space should [see the website for further information]. The Banquet Saturday evening is 70’s themed (optional) and in addition to the Braz Walker mystery fish auction, the Dr. Keith Arnold auction, we will also be holding a CARES, no cash trivia contest and auction. The banquet has to be booked in advanced, it will likely be Texas BBQ (TBD), and the cost of this evening is….FREE!!!!!
There will be a huge auction on Sunday that is FREE to attend, bidder card is FREE and to the sellers…you get to keep 100% of your auction take!!!!!!
If you are coming from out of town, I think details are being worked out with LaQuinta Inn for a special room rate.
I hope we get a really good following from the HCCC, Austin Cichlid Club, Austin Fish Nerds, Texas Guppy Association, San Antonio Aquatic Plant Club and other local folks. If you’ve never attended a convention, it doesn’t get any better than this!”
