Can you spot the error, as was printed on page 3 of the September/October 2022 issue of AMAZONAS Magazine?

The AMAZONAS staff regrets an oversight in the cover captions of the September/October 2022 issue, Conservation & Aquariums. Editors overlooked the duplication of the genus name as the species epithet, written as Misgurnus misgurnus for the loach shown on our cover.

The correct species name is Misgurnus fossilis. Our thanks to astute AMAZONAS fan Tjerk Jelier, who brought the error to our attention!
