MASNA Announces the Bob Fenner
Memorial Fundraising Shirts

Marine biologist, author, raconteur—Bob Fenner, a bright light and powerful advocate for both MASNA and MACNA, brought his love and joy of marine animals to so many across the world. His larger than life presence is missed by all who knew him.
Robert M. Fenner died of natural causes at the age of 67 in his sleep on May 7, 2020 at his home in San Diego, California.
There was never a stranger he did not meet and his presence on the board of directors and as a long time participant at MACNA is missed daily. Truly, one of the pioneers of marine aquarium keeping and a champion of the ethical, sustainable collection and husbandry of aquatic animals, his advocacy left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His highly acclaimed book, The Conscientious Marine Aquarist, is among the bestselling aquarium books of all time.
He truly loved what MASNA stood for and to honor his lifetime of dedication, we have sought the permission of Bob’s family to share a piece of him with all of you.
In honor of his birthday, we present to you the Bob Fenner Memorial t-shirt with 100% of the proceeds going to support the Marine Aquarium Societies of North America (MASNA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
These shirts are available through MASNA’s apparel store, AquariumThreads.com.
“To you, the aquarist. May your brush with captive marine fishes and invertebrates enhance your appreciation of the living world, inspire you to share your experiences with others, and foster stewardship of our planet.”
