Geographic Origin: unknown
Light Level: High, 350–400 PAR
Flow Level: Moderate to High
Care Level: Advanced
Notes: “I acquired a standard-sized frag many years ago from Richard Negret at Cornbred Corals and have had it ever since. After many years of growing and collecting corals, this piece is truly the most intriguing Acropora I have in my collection,” says Mythical Corals’s proprietor, Thinh Vu. “It is equally vibrant as it is eye-catching, but do not underestimate the difficulty of this Acropora.”

Getting a little more background on this coral, Richard Negret added, “The original piece came from the World Wide Corals farm many years ago. It was an unnamed coral, and I got a frag from it. Vic [Victor Fornari, WWC CEO] later told me they lost the colony, but I grew the frag and ultimately named it the Flaming Unicorn.”
