Aquarama Returns to Guangzhou in May 2017

Aquarium trade and hobby event Aquarama will return to the Guangzhou Import and Export Fair Complex May 26-29th, 2017, for its second year in China. Last year’s exhibition, held in September 2016, marked a new beginning for the well-known event as it was relocated to Guangzhou after 26 years in Singapore. Despite its first year in a new location and with a new format, the show attracted more than 33,000 visitors from 61 countries, a good representation of the vibrant regional market and changing industry dynamics.

Aquascaping displays and live demonstrations will return to Aquarama this May

One of the key objectives for Aquarama in China is to build a new generation of aquarium lovers and develop brand loyalty among new hobbyists. Special efforts were put into developing interest among younger generations: several onsite activities were organized for children and students, in particular a popular hands-on aquascaping master class with some of the world’s best known aquascapers. Aquarama also hosted a number of widely popular fish competitions, with over 1,000 entries from nearly 450 domestic and overseas participants, and with over 45 judges from 15 countries. The competitions were organized jointly with local and international partners, carefully selected for their track record of professionalism and attention to detail. Once again, Aquarama hosted high-quality trade and public seminars, with a strong desire to bring together a wide range of opinions and ideas from all over the world, as well as well-attended farm and factory tours to allow attendees to explore live fish and aquarium product production in the region.

Aquarama will return on May 26-29th, 2017, with 2 additional new halls, gathering more accessories suppliers, fish exporters, international brands, solutions for public aquariums and breeders. Along with exhibits, the fish competition will be extended to additional categories, trade seminars reorganized in an all-new format, and consumer activities intended to develop a new generation of aquarium hobbyist and co-located activities brought one step further.
