08 Nov, 2014
Any lover of giant clams (Tridacna spp.) should be familiar with Gerald Heslinga of Indo Pacific Sea Farms; a pioneer in the field of Tridacna aquaculture, we owe many of our clams to breakthroughs Heslinga and his counterparts made in the past 40 years.
Heslinga’s TEDx talk really focuses on the overarching reason why we farm giant claims in what he describes as a clean, sustainable and responsible. HINT – It has nothing to do with the reef aquarium trade.
Don’t miss this fantastic introduction to giant clam aquaculture and how it came about.
